Resealing your water-resistant watch & pressure testing
After the battery has been changed, our watchmakers will carefully reseal your watch to restore its water-resistant capabilities by re-inserting your timepiece's gaskets + seals after applying a specialised silicone lubricant to help create a tight seal.
After the resealing process, our technicians will use our specialised equipment to test the water-resistant capabilities of your watch to the manufacturers' specifications. We will also provide you with a test report that your timepiece has passed.
If your timepiece fails the pressure test, this could be down to several factors, including the condition of the case, the back, the crown and pushers, the glass, seals, and the gaskets, which could require our watchmakers to investigate the root cause further.
