The Restoration Process
01The Consultation
Every restoration starts with a conversation. Bring your watch into our Hatton Garden workshop or get in touch with photos, and tell us its story: where it came from, what it means to you, and how far you’d like us to go. Sympathetic conservation and showroom-fresh are both valid answers — it’s your watch.
02Assessment & Quote
Our watchmakers carefully disassemble the watch — case, crystal, movement, hands and dial — and inspect every component for wear, damage and past repairs. You receive a detailed condition report and an exact, no-obligation quote before any work begins. No surprises, ever.
03The Restoration
The slow part, done properly. The movement is overhauled piece by piece; the dial and hands are conserved or expertly restored; the case and bracelet are refinished to respect their original lines, never rounded off by an eager polishing wheel. Where a part no longer exists, we re-manufacture it to match the original.
04Reassembly & Testing
Your watch is rebuilt, lubricated, regulated and put through timing tests — plus pressure testing where the case allows — until it performs the way its maker intended. Only then do we call it finished.
05The Return
Collect your watch in Hatton Garden or have it delivered fully insured, together with care advice to keep it healthy for the next generation. All restoration work is backed by our one-year warranty.

Our watch restoration workshop is in Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery quarter, at Unit 1, Arundel House, 43 Kirby Street, EC1N 8TE. We’re a few minutes’ walk from Farringdon and Chancery Lane stations, and everything is done in-house by our own watchmakers rather than sent away.

No appointment needed. Drop in Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm, and one of the team will look at your watch with you. If you’d rather talk it through first, call 020 7242 7257 or email us photos and we’ll give you an initial view before you make the trip.

Because every watch arrives in a different condition, we first disassemble and inspect yours, then give you a detailed condition report and an exact, no-obligation quote before any work begins — typically at a significantly lower cost than manufacturer service centres.

Yes. Customers post us watches from across the UK and from abroad. Get in touch with photos first, and we’ll advise on safe, insured packaging and postage; your watch is returned by fully insured delivery once the restoration is complete.

Frequently, it’s something of a speciality. Watches declared “beyond repair” elsewhere in London, from vintage Seikos to a 1972 Bulova Accutron no other shop would touch, have left our workshop running beautifully. Where original parts no longer exist, we re-manufacture bespoke components to match.

Anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the work and whether rare parts need to be sourced or re-manufactured. If you’re working to a date, a birthday, wedding or anniversary, tell us when you drop the watch in, and we’ll do our best to meet it.

Yes. Your watch is stored securely at our Hatton Garden premises throughout the restoration, and is insured while in our care. All restoration work is backed by our one-year warranty.
